We checked 13 Sutton shops, markets and Christmas fairs, from Lewins Jewellers to the Carshalton Frost Fair, for opening hours. Updated November 2026.
Sutton borough has 13 places for Christmas shopping in 2026, nine independent shops plus four Christmas fairs and markets, and this guide lists them with addresses, opening hours and what each sells. Most people will start with the independents in the St Nicholas Centre, Lewins Jewellers on the High Street, or the Carshalton Frost Fair on 5 December for handmade gifts.
None of these shops has posted Christmas hours yet, so ring before a late trip in December.
Alongside the jewellers, toy and comic shops, the list takes in a bakery, a music shop and the borough’s fairs and markets. For the dates of the lights switch-on and the town centre market, see our Sutton Christmas markets page and Christmas lights switch-on page.

How we chose
We started from OpenStreetMap’s record of shops in the borough, the St Nicholas Centre’s store directory and the organisers’ own event pages, and kept the places whose own website, or the shopping centre’s listing for them, told us what they sell and when they open. We left out shops we could not confirm were still trading. Most entries are in Sutton town centre because that is where the borough’s shops are; Worcester Park, Belmont and Wallington have independents too, but we could not find a record of one we could check. Run a place that should be here, or spot something that has changed? Email newsdesk@suttononline.co.uk. Taken a good photograph of any of these places? Email it to newsdesk@suttononline.co.uk and we will add it with your name as the credit.
