The borough's only theatre panto is at CryerArts in Carshalton, Beauty and the Beast, tickets not yet on sale. Wimbledon and Epsom are booking now, with dates and prices.

The borough’s pantomime is Beauty and the Beast, at the CryerArts Centre in Carshalton High Street. The producer has confirmed the title for 2026 but tickets are not on sale yet, and neither the theatre’s website nor its box office listing carries the dates.

Sutton town centre has no theatre of its own, so if you want a full-scale panto with a name cast, you are travelling to Wimbledon or Epsom. Both are already booking, both have published their whole run, and their dates are below. Everything on this page was checked against the producer’s or the venue’s own website on 3 September 2026.

Carshalton: Beauty and the Beast at CryerArts

Top Cat Productions, which supplies the CryerArts panto, has it on its own shows page:

“This years Christmas Pantomime 2026 showing at CryerArts Carshalton is our fantastic telling of one of the greatest Fairytales of all. A magical, laugh a minute show the whole family will enjoy. Tickets on sale soon!”

The company describes it as “a spellbinding adventure packed with laughter, music, and larger-than-life fun”, suitable for all ages (Top Cat Productions).

What is not published yet: the dates, the times or the prices. As of 3 September the CryerArts website’s own downloadable listing covers September and October shows only, and its front page makes no mention of the panto. Bookings for the venue go through TicketSource, linked from cryerarts.co.uk, and that is where the dates will appear first.

Two practical things about the venue, which matter more here than at a big theatre. CryerArts is at 39 High St, Carshalton, Surrey SM5 3BB, phone 020 8669 2444, and it is the building most people still call the Charles Cryer. The auditorium seats up to 140, which is why a Carshalton panto sells out in a way a 1,000-seat theatre does not, and why “tickets on sale soon” is worth acting on quickly.

Do not use 39highst.co.uk to check what is on. It is a CryerArts site that still lists tribute acts from February and March 2024 as “This week at CryerARTS”. The live site is cryerarts.co.uk.

Sutton town centre: a free-standing community panto, not a theatre run

Successful Sutton, the town centre business improvement district, has put on its own one-off family panto for the last few years, and it is not the same kind of thing at all. In 2025 it was Dick Whittington, on Friday 28 November at 4pm, staged in the Town Hall entertainment area at Oru Space, entrance via Times Square shopping centre next to Starbucks on the High Street. Tickets were £5 for adults, £3 for children under 16, with under 2s on laps free (Successful Sutton).

It was produced by Chaplins Entertainment, over 100 families attended, and the £175 raised in ticket sales went to a local organisation providing Christmas dinners (Successful Sutton, Sutton’s Panto for 2025).

Nothing has been published for 2026. In each of the last two years the BID’s Christmas programme went live in the first week of November, so early November is when to look. It is announced alongside the town centre celebration covered on our Sutton Christmas lights page.

Peter Pan, New Wimbledon Theatre

Saturday 5 December 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027, at 93 The Broadway, Wimbledon, SW19 1QG. The cast is led by Jessie Wallace as Captain Hook and Aston Merrygold as Peter Pan, with Tom Read Wilson as the Magical Merman and the magician Pete Firman as Smee. The show has an interval, opening night is Saturday 5 December, and group bookings of ten or more go through a separate request line on 020 7206 1174 (ATG Tickets).

Wimbledon is the easier of the two to reach without a car from most of this borough.

Snow White, Epsom Playhouse

Friday 11 December 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027, at Ashley Avenue, Epsom, KT18 5AL. Early bird tickets started from £22.50, though the theatre’s page records that the early bird offer ended on 1 June 2026, so expect to pay more now. Tickets booked after 1 April 2025 also carry a £1.50 restoration levy, and the theatre states that tickets cannot be refunded.

Access performances are already fixed, which is unusual this far out and useful if you need them:

  • Signed performance: Thursday 17 December at 7pm
  • Relaxed performance: Wednesday 30 December at 3.30pm, with a more relaxed attitude to movement and noise, softer lighting and sound, priced separately from £17.50 early bird

The theatre publishes its whole calendar, which is more useful than a headline run range, because five days inside the run have no performance at all. There are 42 performances on the main listing, and the days it is dark are Monday 14 December, Friday 18 December, Christmas Day, Monday 28 December and New Year’s Day.

One thing to watch when you book. Questions people ask

Is there a pantomime in Sutton town centre? Not a theatre one. The town centre has no theatre, and the BID’s community panto is staged in the Town Hall building at Oru Space for a single afternoon. The nearest theatre panto inside the borough is at CryerArts in Carshalton.

When do CryerArts panto tickets go on sale? The producer said only “tickets on sale soon” as of 3 September 2026. We will update this page with the dates and prices as soon as the venue’s TicketSource listing carries them.

Which nearby panto has signed or relaxed performances? Epsom Playhouse has both already dated, a signed performance on Thursday 17 December at 7pm and a relaxed performance on Wednesday 30 December at 3.30pm.

What else is on in the borough this winter? The Carshalton Frost Fair returns on Saturday 5 December, covered on our Carshalton Frost Fair page, and there is a longer list of days out on our things to do in Sutton page. If you are driving to a show, tariffs and permit zones are on our Sutton parking page and live disruption on our roadworks and travel page.
